Life at Denville Hall.
- socialise with like-minded residents
- watch theatre live-streamed to Denville Hall
- listen to, or play music on one of our pianos
- take part in a poetry group or play games
- be creative in the Art Room
- read in the Sir Terence Rattigan Library
- walk through the Denville gardens
- take day trips out shopping or visit places such as Kew Gardens.
We understand that everyone is different. The atmosphere at Denville is unique and this is down to the personalities who live here and the experience they bring with them. The independent choices of our residents shape the Hall and give everyone the chance to live the way they would like to.

Moving in
The decoration of your room will have already been discussed before you arrive, but feel free to bring pictures and ornaments from home that will make your room more homely.
Visiting
Visitors are welcome to stay for lunch, if we can be instructed ahead of time. We currently make a charge of £12.50 per head.
Healthcare
We have regular visits from a G.P. The Home is covered by the local G P practice – Mountwood Surgery. Prof Goodman visits on a Monday and if he is away, Dr Pugh visits on a Tuesday.
Food & Drink
The design of our dining room offers different seating options, whether you want to eat with others, with a guest or on your own. Our residents can also enjoy socialising at the recently refurbished Coward Bar or in the Green Room.
Our Head Chef visits residents and discusses any dietary requirements, likes or dislikes.
Activities
There are also regular events at the house for residents and their relatives, which include our annual celebration of Shakespeare’s Birthday and Jeanne’s Day (in honour of one of our past benefactors).
There are also regular trips out to local gardens, theatre visits, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Gardens & Grounds
Residents are welcome to go as a group, on their own or accompanied by staff.
